Bird Kría by Íslandsfuglar
kr. 4.990
Kría, Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) is a migratory bird and comes the furthest of all the birds that come to Iceland in the summer. It is estimated that the tern flies about 40,000 km annually on its journeys, from South Africa, Antarctica and Australia, to various nesting sites in the Arctic, but in addition to Iceland, the tern nests in Svalbard and Greenland, among others.
The tern is agile in flight and hunts by pouncing on its food, often from some height. The tern is known for defending its nests and young from uninvited guests and does not hesitate to attack from the air those who venture too close to its young.
The Kría bird comes in a paper giftbox with Icelandic and English information. Each bird is unique.
