Cannot wait to visit!
Hi, We are visiting in October. Arrive Saturday morning early and leave early Monday morning. Not much time to enjoy so would appreciate some guidance.
We thought we’d rent a car when we arrive at the airport and drive to the Blue Lagoon , then check into our hotel.We have a whale watching tour booked for Sunday at 1pm but would also like to squeeze in a drive around the Golden Circle we’ve heard about. Any suggestions as to how we can do it all in such a short time?
Thanks for any help.
have you checked the website: h**ps://www.icelandtravel.is/self-drive-tours/ it might be of some help for you.
may I know can we see the Northern Light from city centre or do we need to drive to the mountain to catch the light?
Hi Steven Wong, the Northen Lights pass around everywhere in Iceland, but for you to be able to see them some conditions must be met.
First: They only show themselves from Setember to Abril (Normaly);
Second: It must be very dark so in the cities with all the city lights its very hard to see them if not impossible. You don’t need to be in a mountain just away from lights. If you can see the lights of the city, you are still to close, keep going away.
Third: Clear skies, and in some regions of Iceland thats hard.
(They are not showing all the time, like 24/7, but if thouse conditions are met, during the night you should be able to see them).
Hope you see them, and that they dance for you. Best dancers ever these Northen Lights.
Hi! We are booked on to the afternoon bus tour 12:00 today 02/01/2016 to be picked up from BSI. Who are we looking out for?
